Friday, October 15|10:00 - 15:00
Age group: 9 to 13 years old
Location: The Palestinian Museum
Every fall, Palestinian families celebrate the olive season. The season represents an inspiring collective festivity to reconnect with the land. Olive trees form a major component of the Palestinian Museum's gardens, and of the community’s social fabric. Let’s experience together this seasonal ritual by picking olives together!
Participation in the olive picking event is free of charge. Please register using this email address: activities@palmuseum.org
The Children art workshop
The sea constitutes a decisive component in the memory of Palestine, and its impact on culture dialogues with Palestinian mountain culture. The erasure of Palestinian identity from the coast during the Nakba created a new colonial reality, except in Gaza, the besieged city. Regardless of various attempts to support Palestinians, and break the siege, amongst which was the Freedom Flotilla, the Occupation opposed them and attacked international peace activists on the Flotilla boats.
The Palestinian Museum, in partnership with the Visual Arts Forum, organizes an art workshop for children to produce an artistic model of the Gaza Freedom Flotilla.
Limited admission, please register: activities@palmuseum.org
