With an annual membership fee of $1,000, you become part of a network of individuals committed to building and empowering Palestinian memory and imagination – people who bring liberatory visions to their own communities. This is also an opportunity for young people to empower the Museum against the pressures of conditional funding that threaten our narrative, imagination and vision.

When joining, we ask you to introduce us to two friends and invite them to become members as well. In this way, you’ll support the Museum financially and help expand our reach, especially among young people worldwide who share our vision.

In return, the Museum will invite you to an annual gathering in your region, where you’ll meet the network you helped to grow, and hear about our achievements and plans. You’ll also receive personal invitations to our global exhibitions and access to private virtual tours of our exhibitions and collections.

Your archive, your memories, our history

Since the Nakba, Palestinian archives have been subjected to looting, loss and distortion. With every wave of displacement and colonisation, documents have been stolen, photographs confiscated, libraries burned, and thousands of stories erased from collective memory. These crimes continue today with even greater intensity as Israel destroys Gaza’s cultural centres and libraries – a systematic effort to annihilate any representation of Palestinian culture or history. In this context, an archive is not a luxury. It is sovereignty. It is a reclamation of our history from colonial control.

Since 2016, the Palestinian Museum has developed a public, independent digital archive – built from within Palestine and powered by contributions from individuals, families and institutions, locally and in the diaspora. It contains hundreds of thousands of items – photographs, recordings, documents, audiovisual content – all catalogued, digitised and published on an open-access bilingual digital platform that we strive to keep fully accessible and relevant to contemporary research.

Your donation supports digitisation, documentation, description and technical development of further collections. It also enables us to train communities in archiving their own history and to provide trustworthy content that challenges falsification and strengthens Palestinian presence in global knowledge spaces.

In the face of ongoing attempts to erase Palestine from global awareness – and a continuous war of extermination targeting people, land and memory – our exhibitions are tools of resistance. They offer counter-narratives that challenge distortions or so-called ‘neutral’ depictions of Palestine.
These exhibitions are the Museum’s public face and primary point of engagement. They provide context for the collections, artefacts and artworks, opening up space for critical reflection and meaningful connection.

They are not mere visual luxuries, but acts of research, documentation and storytelling that reflect the lived experiences of Palestinians. Created in collaboration with Palestinian artists, researchers and historians, both locally and in the diaspora, they reflect an expansive vision connecting the Palestinian cause with contemporary cultural and intellectual frameworks.

Whether in our Main Exhibition Hall, The Glass Gallery, travelling globally, or in digital and innovative formats, our exhibitions help the world to understand Palestine and affirm the ongoing struggle for justice and freedom. Your donation will help realise these exhibitions with rigorous research and execution, from early concept and content collection to printing, design and visitor experiences.

Learning Programmes

As Palestine narratives are marginalised and often excluded from formal education, our programmes are vital for building critical awareness and fortifying collective knowledge against erasure and distortion.

These programmes extend beyond serving children and university students to include teachers, academics and artists. We offer a safe space for critical thinking, experimentation and self-expression, empowering participants to contribute to the production and expansion of knowledge.

Programmes include workshops, school and university visits, open days, artist and teacher meet-ups, exhibition and garden tours, conservation lab visits, summer camps for school children and diaspora youth, and further programming aligned with our exhibitions and themes. To provide lasting and accessible resources, the programmes are accompanied by interactive educational resources for children and research-based resources for students, artists and researchers, inspired by the Museum’s collections and archives, as well as Palestinian daily life.

Your support allows us to expand and diversify our offerings; from summer camps and open-access digital resources, to training teachers and artists in designing locally rooted learning experiences that blend creativity and education.

At the Palestinian Museum, art and nature merge. Our garden hosts 14 permanent artworks by Palestinian artists, and we aim to expand this collection annually.

Each piece is commissioned and reviewed by our art committee – a panel of artists, experts and board members – to ensure artistic integrity, quality and sustainability.

A bench in your name

Leave a lasting mark by funding a custom-designed bench in the Palestinian Museum garden.

These benches, inspired by the Palestinian natural and cultural landscape, are more than a place to rest – they reflect our daily relationship with place, and deepen the sensory and emotional experience of walking through our gardens.
