‘Saraya, The Third Appearance’, an artwork commissioned by Manar Zuabi based on ‘Saraya, the Ogre’s Daughter: A Palestinian Fairy Tale’ by Emile Habibi, is a multimedia work with different components distributed throughout the Museum. In our talk with the artist, we will discover the symbols and connotations of the work across its various mediums and the unusual spaces the work is placed in throughout the exhibition A People by the Sea.
About Manar Zuabi: A Palestinian artist, born in Nazareth in 1964. She earned a B.Ed. in Physical Education with a concentration in Contemporary Dance from the Wingate Institute and an MA in Visual Arts from Haifa University. Zuabi's practise encompasses performance, installation and video art.
