Stories Launch: “The History of Palestinian Art Told by Objects” Project
Zahra wara’ Zahra, ‘Urus Taht al-Shajara (A Flower Behind a Flower, a Wedding under the Tree)

In a unique experience, the Palestinian Museum will celebrate the publication of six children’s stories through the project “The History of Palestinian Art as told by the Objects of Daily Life”.
This event is aimed at children between the ages of 6-8 years old. The launch event will also include the following activities:
Conversation and Book signing with the authors and illustrators.
Christmas tree lighting and decorations as inspired by the six storybooks. Under the tree will be placed presents made by the children themselves.
Food and Stories: Burbara in the Palestinian Museum: Burbara is a traditional dessert made in December to celebrate St. Barbara’s Day.
Arts and crafts: Artist and researcher Samar Qarash will lead an arts and crafts session using everyday objects.
Author-led illustration session: Author Lubna Taha will lead this session where the children will learn to draw some objects from nature, which they will then use to decorate the Christmas tree.
Storytime with the Story and Song with artists Mira and Jalal.
