Join the conversation with artist Essa Grayeb as he discusses his commissioned artwork "Separate Paths Can Still be Part of the Same Journey," now shown within the A People by the Sea exhibition.

About the Artist
Palestinian visual artist, born in Nazareth in 1984. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in photography from Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem. He is completing his MFA in the same academy.

Some of Grayeb's works are made from preexisting objects, footage, and audio which he then appropriated and manipulated, weaving between reality and fiction.

Grayeb has produced several artworks, including: "Sun Pictures" (2020), "The Return of Osiris" (2019), and "Healing" (2017). He also participated in many exhibitions, including: "Weed Control” (2020), “The Villa Romana Open Studios” (2019), "The Jerusalem Show 9” (2018), and “Subcontracted Nations” (2018). His films have been screened at several film festivals, among them: The San Diego Arab Film Festival, The Philadelphia Independent Film Festival, Toronto Arab Film Festival, and Indie Memphis Film Festival, where he won the “Best Departures Short”. Grayeb lives and creates in Jerusalem.
