Join the conversation with artist Bashar Khalaf as he discusses his commissioned artwork Live the Dream, now shown within the exhibition “A People by the Sea”.

Khalaf regularly observes the streets of Ramallah and uses them in his practice, as he did in his series Search for a Self Portrait (2019) which tackled commercial advertisements. Closely and carefully, he scrutinises the commodification that dominates our visual memory and which contributes to the destabilisation of the younger generation’s immediate memory
