Join us for a tour of the "Restoration of Memory" exhibition, where we display thobes restored in the textile conservation lab of the Palestinian Museum.

This exhibition is part of our efforts to save what can be salvaged, initiated in collaboration with the Qarara and Rafah Museums, which were devastated by war and whose collections suffered significant damage. The project aims to transfer the archaeological relics, traditional thobes (dresses), and artifacts to safer locations as a first step, and plan for their restoration once the massacre ends.

In this context, we have chosen to present the public with a general overview of basic conservation principles, focusing particularly on the process of textile conservation. This aims to shed light on the importance of this process and reaffirms our commitment to preserving our heritage, no matter the cost.
