Saraya, The Third Appearance
With the Artist Manar Zuabi
Saturday, June 10th, 16:00-17:00
Location: The Palestinian Museum
Language: Arabic
‘She never went home to her mother without bringing a bouquet of wildflowers. Now all flowers in our day were wild, my dear.’
The performance will complement the wool filament and hairpin installation simultaneously representative of the windows of houses whose residents were forcibly pushed out by the occupation and the Nakba and of the ongoing everchanging possibilities of life, which in this work of art, as in life, is eternal. As part of Zuabi’s performance, the artist will draw expressive flowers in an outline form, around and inside the windows she created nearly two years ago in front of an audience on the walls of the Palestinian Museum.
