As the new school year begins, familiar questions resurface. How do repeated disruptions to schooling shape how our children engage and learn? What does it mean for them to keep returning amid the circumstances we are living through?
They also bring us back to the place of school in our lives and its role in learning, culture, and social life. Do we go to school simply to learn to read, write, and think? Or is school more than that?
That meaning takes shape through the friends who share the journey, the experiences and challenges of everyday life, and the spaces that let us learn, grow, and discover ourselves and the world around us.
Parents, teachers, and school leaders are invited to join occupational and behavioural therapist Majd Melhem as we explore these questions together and consider new ways to approach the journey with curiosity, openness to learning, and joy.
