Two years ago, the Palestinian Museum, together with partners from Palestine and beyond, launched the artistic initiative This Is Not an Exhibition as a collective act in the face of genocide, and as an assertion of Gaza’s voice at a moment of profound human and cultural collapse. We said then that humanity had failed, and two years later we see it continuing to fail day after day. We also said that this initiative was a living act against the Zionist machinery of death, and that it would end only with the end of the genocide.

Today, even if the sky no longer rains continuous volcanoes, it cannot be said that the genocide has ended. It persists in other forms: in tents, in schools of refuge, in collapsing homes, and in death by cold and hunger. The artistic initiative concludes today in its current form, but cultural work does not end; it continues as a commitment to amplifying the voice of Palestine, and to documenting its history, its story, and its people.

In this context, the Palestinian Museum invites the public to join the closing tour of This Is Not an Exhibition as a space for encounter and open conversation about the role of cultural work today, its limits, and the responsibilities imposed by the present reality.
