Delegation from Birzeit University’s Faculty of Education to visit the Palestinian Museum
21 February 2023 - Birzeit: A group of professors from the Faculty of Education at Birzeit University visited the Palestinian Museum, opening new horizons for cooperation and discussion on several future projects that museums, as places of learning, undertake. They were welcomed by Sarah Zahran, Yasmine & Laila Qaddumi Education Unit Officer, and Yasmine & Laila Qaddumi Education Unit Assistant.
The delegation was welcomed by Director General Adila Laïdi-Hanieh. She expressed to the guests the friendship and ongoing partnership between the museum and the university and took them on a tour of the exhibition A People by the Sea.
The visit took place to look over the possibilities that the museum, through its exhibitions, gardens, green building, and digital platforms, provides its audience, including professors and teachers.
The discussion also focused on the development of theoretical frameworks on learning and museums, as well as innovative courses to be provided by the Faculty of Education. These courses are to be inspired by the museum as a concept and linked to different places of learning throughout society
