Our exhibitions depend on the public participation of artists’ commissioned works. These works are either temporarily housed in an exhibition or donated to the museum's permanent collection for use in future exhibitions and programmes. Some of these works can always be found in the portion of the permanent collection located in the museum's gardens.
Artist Talk sheds light on these works, hosting their creators in a fascinating and detailed conversation space. They deal with the story of the work, its themes, knowledge-based significance, production journey, the difficulties and encouragements accompanying it seeing the light of day, and the reasons why they were either made for a specific exhibition or donated to the museum's permanent collection. Artist Talks are made available on the museum's website in both Arabic and English for the public to revisit at their leisure.
