A year ago, the first edition of On This Land was created as a collective instinct and response to the war, a triangulated collaboration between Alserkal Arts Foundation, Barjeel Art Foundation, and the Palestinian Museum. Today, the exhibition has transcended borders: The Shaikh Ebrahim Center is now proud to host it in Bahrain at the Bin Matar House in Muharraq.

On This Land creates a platform for Palestinian narratives, where art becomes a medium of resistance, remembrance, and hope. The exhibition brings together photographs from the Palestinian Museum digital archive, with modern and contemporary artworks from the Barjeel Art Foundation and important private collections in Bahrain in an unrehearsed dialogue between modern and contemporary art and photographic archives.

The exhibition will be open to the public on Sunday, October 13th 2024 at 19:00 in the Bin Matar House in Muharraq, Bahrain. It will run from October 14th to November 7th 2024.

The Bin Matar House visiting hours are from Saturday-Thursday, 9:00-13:00 and 16:00-19:00.
