The Palestine Museum of Natural History - Bethlehem
With professor Mazin Qumsiyeh
Sunday, April 21, 10:00 - 12:30
At the Palestine Museum of Natural History in Bethlehem
The Palestine Museum of Natural History - the Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability, will take us on a tour to explore our surrounding world, our culture and our natural heritage, focusing on scientific knowledge as a basis for strengthening responsible human interactions with the environment. The Palestine Museum of Natural History cannot be considered a traditional museum, since most of what it contains is a valuable collection of specialised research on Palestinian environment.
In this tour, Professor Mazin Qumsiyeh will highlight the role of scientific experimentation in exploring the environment of Palestine and its biodiversity, and the effects of political, social, economic practices on this diversity and on the Palestinian landscape.
