Mamluk Jerusalem: Art Workshop – Islamic Ornaments in the Mamluk Style

For Families and Children

Friday, January 31st | 14:00 – 17:00
Location: The Palestinian Museum

Open to all age groups

Old cities captivate us with their beauty and the details that tell stories of history. Jerusalem is a living example of such timeless beauty, where its stones and decorations narrate the creativity of those who passed through and left their marks.

Join us for a workshop where we explore the magic of Jerusalem: its sabils (public water fountains), palaces, mosques, zawiyas, schools, and caravanserais. Learn about the Mamluks, who they were, and what they added to the city's charm in the 7th century AH, leaving artistic legacies that still stand today.

We will also dive into the enchanting world of Islamic Mamluk ornamentation, drawing inspiration from its intricate designs to create innovative geometric patterns. Together, we will color and craft these designs into unique artistic pieces, perfect for adorning your home walls.

Do not miss this opportunity! Register now, as spaces are limited!
