Let us harvest, bake, eat, and weave tales
For the Whole Family

Friday, May 3rd | 13:00-16:00
Location: The Palestinian Museum
Language: Arabic

Join us on a tour where we’ll tell the stories of our ancestors and this land, and contemplate our relationships thereof to encompass our agricultural and cultural heritage. During it, three women from the city of Tulkarm will tell us all about the crops and plants we use in popular Palestinian dishes. They will set up firewood ovens and together we’ll prepare the dough for manakeesh, Levantine flatbreads, in the traditional way. From them, we’ll learn Palestinian recipes that use za’atar as a main ingredient. This will all be followed by tea made on the fire, and of course, a tour of This is Not Exhibition. You’ll go home carrying your very own share of za’atar!
