The Palestinian Museum and A.M. Qattan Foundation have signed an agreement presenting the Museum with the Swedish-funded VAAF project grant of 130,000 over a period of 18 months.

The VAFF project offers support for the implementation of various projects in the visual arts domain. The grant will benefit the Palestinian Museum’s establishment of a curatorial department and the advancement of staff expertise in the department and in the field more broadly. The grant will also be directed in support of the Museum’s two upcoming exhibitions, including the design and implementation of the public and education programmes that will complement them. In addition to benefiting educational tours for students of 35 public schools, the grant will also lend support to teachers’ training and the production of teaching resources and tools that assist them in the classroom.

Director General of the Palestinian Museum, Dr Adila Laïdi-Hanieh expressed her appreciation for this support as a valuable benefit to the Museum’s mission, which enhances its ability to craft unique and well-considered cultural programmes, while simultaneously expanding their reach.
